I have enjoyed listening to Soul and Jazz music for 40 odd years and, in the early days, was a regular customer at my local record shop (Jif’s) in Chadwell Heath where I spent the bulk of my money earned from my Saturday job.  In the day, I thoroughly enjoyed tuning in to the so-called “pirate” radio stations which certainly helped broaden my musical ear whilst, for many years, I have been an enthusiastic regular at many of the great soul weekenders across the UK.  Music remains a core passion and I really enjoy building my modest vinyl collection.
