I got hooked on music on a caravan holiday in Clacton-On-Sea, Essex  as a young boy. I heard Farley Jackmaster Funk "Love Can't Turn Around" on big speakers for the first time and got goose bumps!

I've always had a varied taste in music but in my early days Hip Hop was my first love. Moving into the house/old skool in the late 80's early 90's.

My first taste of 'soul music' was a commercial mix album on vinyl I bought in 1986 which featured artists such as Rah Band, Loose Ends and Wally Badarou and very soon I was exploring the samples used by my love of HipHop and Old Skool records (which nearly always traced back to soul tracks).
