As a kid I was fascinated by vinyl players but my interest really took off in '72 when the parents got one and two years later at 14 it was twin Garrards at the local Youth Club...a fledgling DJ was born!

Following a spell in the Merchant Navy it was on to a different Youth Club, all sorts of mobile gigs and a couple of residencies. I took another break post marriage and was then lured back to a pair of those 'exotic' 1210's for regular Soul nights and, thanks to a friend’s recommendation, I took the Saturday afternoon slot here at Soulconnexion Radio.

I prefer to play vinyl and tend to steer clear of the so called 'classics' and search the back catalogues for the less well known material, I also include a Northern Soul set and will play most things Soulful. Off air my personal listening is anything (within reason, lol) and I still do guest slots at Soul nights throughout the year.
