'Let There Be Soul'

Music has always played a major part in my life, inspired by my brother & sister who helped focus and generated my tastes through 70's soul & disco. My biggest musical inspiration was Earth, Wind & Fire, but also early Level 42, Freeez, Luther Vandross, Frankie Knuckles & David Morales Like most DJ’s I started DJ’ing playing the music I loved for friends at parties etc, Then moved on to mobile dj’ing in Nottingham, which I hated. After a couple of years, doing weddings, birthdays etc, I moved to DJ’ing into clubs & pubs around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Yorkshire.
Around 10 years ago I decided to hang up my headphones after a 25 year Dj'ing career, playing in some good clubs/bars, but also some awful ones! Soul & Good R&B,, House, Hip Hop, have always been my personal fav's, but I have also enjoyed playing Trance & Drum & Bass for the sheer energy it brings to a club. Whilst still going to clubs & watching the television 'House Parties' and listening to mixes on SoundCloud & others I got the bug again. So I brought myself a new pair of turntables and a new mixer, to blow off the cobwebs and put some mixes to together, to load onto Soundcloud & Mixcloud.
After a while a friend invited me to play on a internet radio station he was playing on, hence my radio career started with TheMusicGalaxyRadio for 18 months, then Soul Central Radio for 2 years, and then after a little break in November 2019 I returned to play on this great station – SoulConnexion Radio.com the rest as they say is history!!
